Gandhiji propogated Nai Talim (New Education) – a spiritual principle where knowledge and work are not two separate entities. His holistic approach to basic education combines intellectual, physical, social and spiritual aspects of an individual. Learning and living with hands on work prepares young people to balance their life in the “real” world and the surrounding community.
Dr. Abhay Bang, was himself brought up under this principle, in his childhood in Sevagram Ashram.
